classical music 3

Classical Music
Frank Sinatra:
The call him OG “original Gangster”, he is a glamorous person and he was the essence of cool. He invented pop music and he was the founder of it. He was a rock and roller before rock and roll started. And he shined like no other star. Moreover, he was an icon of America’s music. However, the dark side of him is the fact that he was made from the mafia. He was close to mafia leaders who made him. He is Originally from sislly. Italy. It is the Same village the famous gangster Lucky Luciano come from. The neighborhood where he was living was full of mafias, and he grew up respecting power and mobs. Yet he was a charismatic singer who grabbed the women’s attention of his time. One of his famous songs is “the way you look tonight”.

DJing from your own computer

We all have our hobbies and passions but what I believe is that most thing people have in common is the love for music although the passion for the type of music may be different and the passion for music it self may be different too but Djing is another story it was meant to be for everybody but thanks to technology the expensive specialized equipment’s for DJing which made it hard for everybody to try and play with music and enjoying mixing up what they like became much easier to handle we can either use turning table to mix the music we have just like old school or we can use our PC or Mac and load it with an application that simulates the turning tables the DJS used just like Virtual DJ for example or we can use actual turning tables that u can connect to ur PC or Mac and use it to mix your own music library and play the music you have even from your Itunes Look below for the Videos if you are interested to know more about DJing from your computer

OST (Original Sound Track)

Before 1920s, most of films with no synchronized recorded sound, especially with no spoken dialogue. In 1927, the first feature-length motion picture with synchronized dialogue sequences "The Jazz Singer" released, it made a new history of sound film. A sound film is a motion picture with sunchronized sound, or sound technologically coupled to image, as opposed to a silent film. At the beginning a projected sound-film system know as Cinemacrophonograph or Phonorama, based primarily on the work of Swiss-born inventor François Dussaud, was exhibited in Paris; similar to the Kinetophone, the system required individual use of earphones. However with rapid development of technology, film making with sound is getting better and easier. We call the music of the film as O.S.T (Original Soudtrack). A soundtrack can be recorded music accompanying and synchronized to the images of a motion picture, book, TV program or video game; a commercially released soundtrack album of music as featured in the soundtrack of a film or TV show; or the physical area of a film that contains the synchronized recorded sound. There are five types of soundtrack recordings. The first is musical film soundtracks which concentrate primarily on the songs such as "Singin' in the Rain". The second is film scores which showcase the background music from non-musicals for example "Star Wars". The third is albums of pop songs heard in whole or part in the background of non-musicals such as "When Harry Met Sally". The fourth is video game soundtracks are often released after a game's release, usually consisting of the background music from the game's levels, menus, title screens, promo material,cut-screens and occasionally sound-effects used in the game. The last one is albums which contain both music and dialogue from the film, such as" The Sound of Music".

The Script

It is my pleasure to write about my favourite band at the moment - The Script.

In case you don't know about the band, you are missing out on such an awesome band.

Okay, so The Script is an Irish rock band from Dublin, Ireland, which was formed 2001, Danny O'Donoghue (The lead vocalist) and Mark Sheehan (The lead guitarist). They knew each other since childhood. Later, they recruited Glen Power as drummer. Enough of intro.

They produced 3 amazing studio albums so far -
1) The Script
2) Science & Faith
3) #3

The thing I like about them is that their Genre is so different, it sounds so good to the ears. Their influences include U2, Coldplay, The Police, The Neptunes, Timbaland, and Van Morrison - which makes it even better. Among my huge list of favourite songs of The Script, the most favourite ones are - Hall of Fame, Six Degrees of Separation, If You Could See Me Now, Breakeven, Man Who Cant Be Moved, and Nothing.

Fun Fact: In case you didnt know, Danny O'Donoghue was one of the judges of the reality talent show - The Voice (United Kingdom). Oh, this guy is extremely talent. I bet everyone would fall in love with his voice.

The Script is like the biggest rock band right now in my opinion. I believe they are the biggest Irish band after U2. They have been so successful during the years, winning awards like World Music Award for Best Irish Selling Act (2008), The Brit Award in 2011 and and 2013 and the Meteor Irish Music Awards in 2009 and 2010.

If you have not listened to them yet, please do, they are amazing.

Concert$$$ to make ca$$h

These days we see many artists working together or even going solo to perform around the world touring to fans. This is really important to artists because they can earn lots of money by doing this. Most of the artists income can be minimized because of factors such as illegal downloading where artists are losing money. By going to different cities and countries and performing to different audiences of up to thousands of people a day they can earn a great deal of money.  It is also important that artists create a big fan base so that these shows can sell out. In 2012 One Direction a boy band from Britain had made the news after selling its Australian show in less than 5 minutes. It is important that artists tap into this area because it creates more opportunities for them.

records..cds...downloading..

Back in the day if you could recall, music was only shared and experienced through those who had a physical copy of a track either in form of a cd or a vinyl record. This was a precious commodity back in the day, and it was purely how artists make most income. In the present day we see how this has transformed greatly and how people are accessing music in almost under a minute online and having there own copy in in almost each portable device they own. This has hit hard on the music artists because the amounts of records sold are diminishing. However they raise this reduction in money having concerts. Not only is downloading failing the artists but it is also is illegal.  People should not be accessing information like this because it is throwing away someone’s career. Especially when its worked for.

Japanese rock – Nano PT3

Nano’s most recent album and what I reckon is her 2nd album, is called N! With 13 songs in total and 8 of them being original and self composed songs this is her best album yet. This time all the songs are sung in English mixed with abit of Japanese, this time around I found that all her songs were quite strong in terms of the emotions each song emitted.

However the song I believe to stand out the most in this album and most definitely worth a listen is Neophobia, it was what I would say a great representation of Japanese rock music with the instrumentals that were used mixed with amazing vocals. The lyrics itself wasn’t bad at all, it talked about an individuals daily life in isolation, and what mistakes they have made to make themself isolated from the rest of humanity. This song is also used by a Japanese horror channel, called Den of Horror.

Armin van Buuren

Armin van Buuren is one my favourite DJ of all time. I have been listening to this guy for quite some time now, and his tracks never fail to blow me away.

Okay, so most of us know him pretty well, but for those who have never heard of him, here is a bit of introduction about him. He is a Dutch trance producer and DJ. He is the number one ranked DJ having won DJ Magazine's Top 100 DJs fan poll a record of 5 times, including winning 4 consecutive years between 2007–2010 and again in 2012.

His genre of music is Trance and Progressive Trance. There are many DJs out there who try to play more than a few genres of Electronic music, but this guy just focuses on those two genres. He has been producing mesmerizing tracks since 1995, that makes people from all around the world dance and giving them a euphoric experience. He produced 4 albums till now, the 5th one being release on May 5, 2013.

Discography -
1) 76 (2003)
2) Shivers (2005)
3) Imagine (2008)
4) Mirage (2010)
5) Intense (2013) (To be released)

Armin also hosts a famous weekly radio show called the 'A State of Trance' which he first aired on 2001. The show takes the format of a two hour mix in which he plays new trance music, both promotional and commercially released. Selected tracks are announced during the show in order to help promote new artists and releases. Trance lovers from all over the world listens to this radio show. I believe this is a great thing he has started, as not only playing amazing new tracks weekly, but giving a great platform to the new DJs, as he plays their tracks in the show. I listen to this show every week, and it never fails to amaze me. Amazing tracks.

I just hope, one day I get to see him live. That would be a dream come true!

K-Pop Music

Since the mid-2000s, Korean pop music went through a huge development in the world and it is more recognized by people than before. Therefore they have their own genre and it is called K-pop music. Even the American musicians are collaborating with various K-Pop idols include many notable recording artists from the African American hip hop community, such as Akon, Kanye West, Ludacris, Snoop Dogg and will.i.am.

There are plenty of subgenres in K-Pop music. Such like Bubblegum Pop, Dance-pop, Operatic pop, Power pop, Soundtrack, Synth pop, Space age pop, Sunshine pop, Traditional pop and Teen pop. This is one of the most important reasons made k-pop music successful worldwide. And some of the other reasons are Diversity of audiovisual content, Systematic training of singers, Bands with numerous members and sub-units, Rapid distribution via the Internet, Support of government agencies and dedicated fan base.

An example of the famous K-pop bands or musical groups is Big Bang which is a South Korean male Pop music group. that’s consisted from 5 young male artists who are under 25 years old.  The members' are involved t in composing and producing their own music, especially the notable leader G-Dragon, has earned the group respect and praise from music industry experts.  And in November 2011, representing the Asia-Pacific region, Big Bang emerged as the inaugural "Best Worldwide Act" winner at the 2011 MTV Europe Music Awards.

Japanese rock – Nano PT2

As an individual Nano was the first artist that I actually followed and was constantly updated on, that’s why when she released her first album ever I was filled with hype which was not put to waste.

Nanoir her first major album filled with 12 songs, with 3 instrumentals 6 original songs and remaining to be her most popular YouTube cover songs, most of the songs in this album are English with only a few exception of Japanese songs, even then listen to the Japanese songs with little understanding of Japanese I was able to grasp the atmosphere of the song and the feeling it put across to people who listen to them. Out of all the songs within her album my most favourite was Magenta, with a strong tomboyish voice mixed with strong lyrics I felt this song put across. At the end of this post I will put up the lyrics courtesy of http://aisatsunin.wordpress.com/2011/12/05/lyrics-nano-devilish-p-magenta/

remember again

inside a world of broken words
you cannot hide
you try to find the reasons why,
as days collide

the seconds keep on passing,
without a sound, you turn around
and as you walk away I call to you

don’t you let go
take a look around, you are not alone
if you’d only stop and close your eyes
find the answers,
you’d find the answers

when you feel like the world is falling in
and you can’t seem to find the way back in
don’t cry
just hear these words and remember again

outside, you’re trembling as you stand,
in the falling rain
you try to find where you belong,
as you drown the pain

you hear the voices crying
inside a world monochrome
but their eyes are bleeding tears of
magenta

don’t you let go
take another breath when you’re lost again
if you’d only break the walls within
find the courage, you’d find the courage

when you feel like the world is falling in
and you can’t seem to find the way back in
don’t cry
just hear these words and remember again

another silent prayer fades as the night slips past
I try to reach out to the light through the glass
as it shatters

don’t you let go
take a look around, you are not alone

if you’d only stop and close your eyes
find the answers,
you’d find the answers

when you feel like the world is falling in
and you can’t seem to find the way back in
don’t cry
just hear these words and remember

don’t you let go
take another breath when you’re lost again
if you’d only break the walls within
find the courage, you’d find the courage

when you feel like the world is falling in
and you can’t seem to find the way back in
don’t cry
just hear these words and remember again

you’d find the answers
you’d find the answers

Wolf

Tyler the creators wolf album is the third of the cockroach eating, odd future leaders albums and it certainly is a change to his previous two!
Famously known for his satanic thoughts and homophobic slurs in his previous albums Goblin and Bastard, Tyler the creator has changed his path and has surprisingly...matured up!
Wolf starts off with a wonderful harmony for about 30 seconds and then the odd future leader makes his mark with his typical foul language.

The album has 18 songs and has a wonderful story line behind it. My honest opinion - Tyler is a genius - he has found a way to link all three of his albums together and has created a wonderful story. Wolf should be the first album - its primarily about falling in love with a girl and he is battling his different personas to win over the girl. Wolf features a variety of artists such as Pharell, Erykah Badu and many of his odd future candidates such as Earl Sweatshirt

Japanese rock – Nano PT1

Nano is a Japanese rock musician who was born in New York, Nano is able to sing in both English and Japanese. Her songs are usually a mix of both, however picks one main language at times, over my next couple blog post I’ll elaborate on the songs in the albums she has currently released to date.

Til date Nano has never really shown “her” face to the public, and still leaves some users guessing for her gender. However it’s depicted and usually assumed that she’s female

Nano started her music career online via the social network of YOUTUBE! Due to copyright reasons I’m unable to link the first song she covered but it was named “Ikebukuro”. During most of her free time she covers various songs and uploads it to her youtube channel NANOIS2525, the most recent song she’s uploaded onto youtube ishttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7vqdp_HKVN0, it’s an English cover of Hysteri.

She’s recently been noticed by many companies that produce animation and are approached by them to create a theme song for them, to date she’s made at least 4 songs for animation companies.
